1、deburring method

Currently, many manufacturers have workers use brushes to manually remove burrs. However, because the naked eye cannot see the internal orifices, this method is, in fact, not reliable.

Certainly, there are specialized methods for deburring, including two notable ones: the methane blasting method and the abrasive flow polishing method.

The methane blasting method involves burning methane or hydrogen gas in a pressurized chamber to initiate an oxidation reaction. This process effectively removes burrs, sharp edges, or hidden contaminants from processed parts using the intense heat generated by the blasting.

On the other hand, the abrasive flow polishing method utilizes an abrasive fluid polishing machine (AFM). This machine employs a mixture of abrasive medium and a flowable polymer to grind the surface of the valve block within the flow channels under controlled pressure. This method effectively eliminates burrs, smooths sharp edges, and rounds corners.

After deburring, personnel will clean the manifold block, focusing primarily on removing various particles attached to its surface, such as corrosion and grease.

In addition, in order to ensure that the manifold block in use will not prematurely rust, must be rust-proof treatment. The internal oil channels of the manifold block can undergo pickling and phosphating treatments. External surfaces undergo rust treatment processes such as bluing, cadmium plating, zinc plating, nickel plating, and other surface treatments.


Because the orifices are all inside, it may appear clean, but in reality, it may not be completely clean. Therefore, after completing the deburring work on the manifold block, it is necessary to use an industrial endoscope to inspect and ensure that all burrs are completely removed.

After using the manifold block for a long time, it is advisable to inspect it again with an industrial endoscope to determine whether it has developed rust spots, iron filings, impurities, and so on inside.If there is, then you need to clean it as soon as possible to ensure the normal work of the hydraulic manifold block.
