Can an ordinary solenoid hydraulic control valve be used as a proportional valve?

Since common and proportional valves look similar, can you use a common solenoid hydraulic control valve as a proportional valve?

The principles of the two valves are different, so you cannot exactly substitute one for the other. However, there are some variations that can partially achieve the desired effect. The commonly used methods include the following two ways:

In Mode 1, you use a number of ordinary valves working in parallel groups to achieve segmental speed control or use ordinary valves to implement the main speed control circuit. Although proportional valves offer a more advanced solution, the mature and typical approach using ordinary valves is still in use. This method is especially prevalent in some traditional classic equipment models. For example, some injection molding machines and ordinary models of bending machines still use ordinary solenoid hydraulic control valve speed control. These machines are still in production with this traditional approach. It can be said that the old steed in the stable …… because of the simple so cheap, so long life. This also points out the direction for our product development: simple to use (ease of use and durability) is the first; followed by cheap (cost-effective); and only after the performance halo.

Mode 2, PWM speed control, especially in the field of ultra-high pressure, small flow. Select small leakage varieties, such as solenoid ball valves, for use with ultra-high pressure, small flow pumps to achieve proportional control. For example, you can use this setup for synchronous top extension or translation. In this context, “synchronous” actually refers to proportional control. It’s just like a family of its own. ……
