Let you completely understand the 12v solenoid valve hydraulic seal, medium leakage and medium pressure difference

12v solenoid valve hydraulic is an industrial equipment controlled by electromagnetism, is used to control the fluid automation basic components, belongs to the actuator, and is not limited to hydraulic, pneumatic. Used in industrial control systems to adjust the direction of the medium, flow, speed and other parameters. 12v solenoid valve hydraulic can be matched with different circuits to achieve the desired control, while the control precision and flexibility can be guaranteed.

Centre seal:

in a stopped state, it takes a lot of force to make it act.

Withdrawing this force and excluding leakage factors, it theoretically returns to its original position! Used where there is a high demand for positional stopping.

Medium pressure:

In the stopped state, a large force is required to actuate it.

If this force is removed, the cylinder will not return to its original position (usually the pressure is adjusted with a pressure reducing valve, so that the force on both ends of the cylinder piston is balanced, or with a two-rod cylinder, so that the pistons have the same cross-sectional area), but will remain in the same state as it was after the action! Used in the position of the high demand for stopping the place, a larger external force can make its position change!

Medium leakage:

In the stopped state, only a small force is needed to make it move.
When installed vertically, it will move downward naturally due to gravity!

Principle

Mid-seal:

In the case that both coils are not powered, the pressure in the front and rear chambers of the cylinder remains unchanged from the state after the last coil is de-energised. The intake port is closed, and the exhaust port is also closed. After remaining in this state for a long time, tiny leaks in each connection will slowly disrupt this equilibrium.

Medium Drain:

When both coils are not powered, there is no pressure in the front and rear chambers of the cylinder. The inlet port remains closed. The pressure in the front and rear chambers of the cylinder is discharged through the two 12V solenoid valve hydraulic exhaust ports, respectively.

Medium pressure:

When neither coil is powered, the pressure in the front and rear chambers of the cylinder remains unchanged from the state after the last coil was de-energized. The pressure continues to be applied, making the pressure in the front and rear chambers of the cylinder the same as that at the inlet end. Consequently, the inlet port opens, and the exhaust port closes.

The system includes a three-position medium pressure valve, a reversible pressure reducing valve, and a locking cylinder. The reversible pressure reducing valve is used to adjust the pressure, ensuring that the pressure at both ends, combined with the weight, maintains a balance. This setup prevents stress on the locking cylinder head, thereby extending its lifespan.
As for which end of the pressure reducing valve to install depends on whether you are lifting action or lifting action.

This is the strictest intermediate stop circuit, of course, locking cylinder price is relatively high.

And then say in the drain type, three-position in the drain + pilot check valve + cylinder combination.
But the principle of this programme is that when you want to stop the gas are drained, close the pilot check valve, so that the cylinder stops.

The advantage is that the structure is simple and economical;

The disadvantage is that you can not achieve what you call ‘instant’ stop, it will have a small lag.

If only for safety considerations, to prevent falling and not very concerned about the stopping position, you can choose this programme;

Lastly, I would like to add a three-position medium seal type. It is generally used for cylinder actions that are not very frequent. For applications where the stop position and safety requirements are not critical, you can use the medium seal.
The center seal has micro-leakage. Additionally, the tube quick-insertion part generally has micro-leakage. Therefore, it is not recommended to use this in the safety circuit.
